About Forest City Church

Forest City Church was birthed from a desire to see health in the local church. To think of a forest is to think of a place of restoration, retreat, stillness; a place that brings oxygen to the atmosphere.

We desire to bring these attributes to our community by being a place to be restored, find peace, and bring fresh life to those searching for deeper meaning and purpose.

At FCC, we believe that the forest does not consist of one lone tree but many trees at different points in their growth and life. We desire to be a place of diversity, of experience and age, of symbiotic relationships. As it is with our spiritual journey and place in the church, we are better in a community than trying to go at it alone.

We believe people are made in the image of God thus they are sacred and have value regardless of their function, age, gender, ethnicity socioeconomic status
Therefore every individual matters and takes precedent over tasks. We are a community of people desiring to serve people
We believe healthy communities have clarity, on many levels. To be clear in the big things and the little things. From teachings, to team culture, to important conversations that we sometimes would rather not have. We believe we love people well when we’re honest and clear
We value growth over perfection. We believe we’ve never fully arrived and that there’s always room for growth.
This means we are constantly looking for opportunities to empower others and give voice to potential .
Like Jesus, we want to have a posture of genuine curiosity of asking questions of those who are different than us .
We believe healthy communities are curious ones. Where space is given to ask questions and room for doubts to be discussed.
